Midwest Spectacular Event

On September 28th at Chanhassen HS, North Tartan and the Minnesota Fury are getting together to supply what promises to be the best NCAA Exposure experience of the year.
The Midwest Spectacular will be unlike any exposure event you have been to before.
The day will consist of running individual drills, competitive drills, 1 on 1, and Full Court 3 on 3. College coaches from all across the country have expressed interest in watching players perform in this type of platform.

August Workouts, one left, last stop Colin Powell Center!!

Last North Tartan workout of August is this Sunday at the Colin Powell Center. North Tartan is an invite only club, we do not hold try-outs or evaluations. If you would like to see and feel the intensity and expectations of what North Tartan basketball is all about or just get in a tough workout with elite kids, please join us for our last workout left in August.
Our last workout is at the Colin Powell Center (2924 4th Ave. South, Minneapolis, MN) on Sunday, August 24th. We will run all 9th-11th workouts from 2:00-4:30 and all 5th-8th workouts from 4:30-7:00. Thanks to Coach Coley for setting this final workout up at the Colin Powell Center.

North Tartan Nike Team and 15U earn trips to Nike Nationals.

Nike Nationals
Congratulations to our North Tartan Nike Elite team who finished 10-0 in the first year of the Nike Girls Elite Youth Basketball League (GirlsEYBL) to earn their way to Nike Nationals. This year, teams had to qualify and win their way to NN as only 24 of 32 teams would make it. North Tartan Nike Elite finished first in the Lindsay Whalen Division. Also, a big congratulations to our North Tartan 15U team who earned an invite to Nike Nationals. Our 15U team was one of 20 Nike teams that were invited to compete. Nike Nationals will be held in North Augusta, South Carolina July 27th through July 30th. Best wishes to club director, Bill Larson, Nike Elite coach, Greg Dietel, and 15U coach, Jake Kuppe!

North Tartan Dominating MN AAU State Championships

North Tartan continued its dominance in the MN State AAU Championships in 2014. Since 2010, North Tartan has won 22 State Championships. 22!! North Tartan has also had numerous 2nd place and other high finishes. In 2014, all 15 North Tartan teams qualified for the Division-1 Championship tournament. Congratulations to all of the high finishers...

The Road to Nike Nationals

North Tartan Nike Elite along with Coach Dietel and Coach Jacobson finished 5-0 (2-0 in their division) at Boo Williams in Hampton, VA in April. Only 24 of 32 teams make it to Nike Nationals starting this year and teams must earn their way! North Tartan Nike Elite was placed in the Lindsay Whalen division. It should be noted that 2 of the 4 divisions are named after Minnesota Lynx players (Lindsay Whalen and Maya Moore). North Tartan Nike Elite will continue EYBL Chicago during the July NCAA viewing period. Outstanding start and way to represent Minnesota!

USA Basketball and North Tartan Connect

North Tartan Director Bill Larson will once again be traveling to Colorado Springs over Memorial Day. His four year commitment to the USA Basketball Women's Developmental National Team Committee continues as he and five others select 12 athletes to roster this years U17 World Championship team. Returning from the 2013 USA Women’s U16 National Team that earned a perfect 5-0 record and gold medal at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship in Cancun, Mexico, which qualified the USA for the 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship, will be North Tartan's Arike Ogunbowale (Divine Savior Holy Angels H.S./Milwaukee, Wis.). 3rd Annual North Tartan Basketball Camp

 The 3rd Annual North Tartan Fall Basketball Camp will take place Sunday, October 6th, 2013 from 1:00-4:00pm at St. Michael-Albertville HS.
